Start with one reminder per habit

Most habits need a single alert at a moment when the action is realistic. That is what the Free plan gives you: one reminder time per habit, chosen by you, with sound and vibration. No account, no subscription, no limit on how often you change it.

The hard part is not the number of reminders. It is placing them where you can actually act. A reminder to stretch at 9:00 is useless if you are on a bus at 9:00. Our guide on habit reminders without notification fatigue walks through how to choose those moments.

All reminder behaviour lives on one screen, so you can see what is on before you add more.

Streak protection for the day that goes wrong

A streak usually breaks on an ordinary busy day, not because you gave up. Once a habit reaches a streak of seven days or more, streak protection sends one extra reminder two hours after the first — and only if the habit is still unchecked. If you already logged it, nothing fires.

It is a Premium option, and it is deliberately narrow: one nudge, late enough to matter, tied to a streak you have actually built. If a streak already broke, the comeback plan for a habit you dropped is more useful than another alert.

Smart time suggestions learn when you really act

After a habit has been logged at least five times, the app compares those completion times with your reminder. When the two clearly disagree, it suggests moving the reminder to the time you actually use. You decide whether to accept it.

This matters more than it sounds. A reminder you dismiss every day trains you to ignore the app. Smart time suggestions are a Premium option in notification settings.

Quiet hours and multiple reminders

  • Quiet hours — silence habit reminders during sleep or protected focus time.
  • Up to five reminder times per habit for daily, selected-weekday and every-X-day habits, for routines with more than one checkpoint in a day.
  • Checkpoints for weekly and monthly habits — Free uses a fixed grid of two checkpoints a week and three a month; Premium lets you choose between one and five.

Weekly targets are worth a mention here: if a habit does not need a fixed day, track it as three sessions a week and let the checkpoints remind you while the week is still open.

Questions

How many reminders can one habit have?
The Free plan gives every habit one reminder at any time you choose, with sound and vibration. Premium raises that to five reminder times for daily, selected-weekday and every-X-day habits.
What is streak protection?
Streak protection is a Premium option. Once a habit has a streak of seven days or more, the app sends a second reminder two hours after the first one — but only if you have not checked in yet that day.
Do reminders work if I never create an account?
Yes. Reminders are scheduled on the device, so they work in guest mode without an email address or password.
Can I stop reminders at night?
Quiet hours are a Premium option in notification settings. During the hours you choose, habit reminders stay silent.
How do reminders work for weekly and monthly habits?
Weekly and monthly habits get checkpoint reminders instead of several daily times. Free uses a fixed grid — two checkpoints a week and three a month. Premium lets you set between one and five.
